Foad Rafii is one of North America’s most influential architects; he stands as far above most of his colleagues as point towers do above ordinary building. The Vancouver architect was educated at the University of Tehran and pursues post-graduate work at Harvard. Rafii both designs and defines. The clean, classic lines of his buildings transform and distinguish their environment. A pioneer of the point tower as an urban-planning tool, Rafii is largely responsible for the distinctive look of Vancouver’s modern cityscape.
The architectural term refers to a strikingly tall and slender building that melds skyscraper and high-rise residence. It's efficient design maximizes living space and also delivers extraordinary views from every room.
Many residences are corner units and feature corner balconies with nearly 270 degree panoramic views. Residents can unwind from a hard day taking in the calm waters of Lady Bird Lake and the rolling Texas Hill Country, or be invigorated by the the vibrancy of downtown Austin and the Texas Capital. And of course, one can always bask in the orange glow of the University of Texas Tower.
The point tower features an efficient floor plate which is small enough to seem a mere point on the ground given the tower’s height. Spring has three different floor plates as well as seven levels of parking, a rooftop pool, guest suites, and other amenities.
